Majority of Paris’ Neighbors Want Her Gone!
Paris Hilton’s neighbors want their quiet neighborhood back and are even going so far as to contact their City Councilman and the LAPD. One neighbor sent out a letter titled “Heiress Alert: time for action” and it suggests that the neighbors unite to hire an attorney!
The media frenzy surrounding Paris Hilton grew to a crescendo the day she was ordered back to jail by a judge. Hundreds of paparazzi, local and international media crowded the narrow roads leading to her Hollywood Hills home as she was escorted by police. It was by no means the first time the neighborhood was bombarded by cameras.
“When she was first released, this whole block was completely full and people were using the parking spaces, were not able to park,” said real estate agent Burt Bakman. “They don’t like it. It’s a lot of traffic jams and part of the reason of living up here is to have the freedom to move in and out. It’s completely blocked off and there are tour guides and buses coming by here. I’m sure a lot of them are frustrated.”
The area has not only been congested by what some neighbors call rude intruders, but neighbors like Teresa Williams say their cars and property have been damaged.
“That’s not me. The dings, I got a quarter-sized one there and all the scrapes and stuff. That’s just from being parked out here. It’s only like in the last four or five months,” said local resident Teresa Williams.
As a result, many neighbors say they’ve had enough. They’re reaching out to their local councilman for help. Jack Weiss released a statement saying when Paris Hilton was first released, his office got more than 50 complaints about helicopter noise and crowd issues, so “We’re very aware of the problem.” His staff is working with all the relevant city departments to develop a reasonable plan to minimize the disruption in the neighborhood when Hilton completes her sentence.
With Hilton’s expected release now just days away, neighbors are hoping city officials and local law enforcement will do something to intervene.“She’s really nice and her by herself is fine. It’s just everything that comes with it is difficult. There are a lot of celebrities in the neighborhood. She’s the only one they follow everywhere,” said neighbor Teresa Williams.
