Veet, South Africa’s premier choice in hair removal products, came on board with full backing for the event, which took place at Fashion TV Cafe, Cedar Square on Friday 21 March. Further to this, Sound Media secured 5fm as the official media arm.
The event carried tremendous risk for Sound Media, as the promise of Paris Hilton appearing at any venue carried with it the dangers of breached security and the need for crowd control. Together with a team of outsourced publicists, additional security and the buy-in from the FTV franchise, the event was a resounding success for all parties involved, including the huge public turnout for fans wanting a glimpse of Paris.
