In other news, Paris was reportedly hurt to see pictures of ex-boyfriend Benji Madden cozying up to Katy Perry.

A source says, “Paris still has very strong feelings for Benji and seeing those pictures has really hurt her - especially as they were taken so close to her birthday.

“She is determined to get Benji back and she is not going to let anyone or anything stand in her way.”

Paris Hilton admits that even though she and Benji Madden are broken up, she’s not ruling out a relationship in the future. And as for dating anyone right now, she’s just not interested.

“I’m still in love with him,” Paris says of Benji. “He’s such an amazing man. He’s my best friend. He’s been so great to me, so loyal. He is an incredible person, and we will always be really close. We’ll see what happens in the future.”

But Paris doesn’t want to hit the dating scene yet. “I don’t want to date anyone [at the moment]. The thought of that just grosses me out.”

Paris Hilton confirmed her split from Benji Madden in an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning. She did add that she’s still in love with Benji, but “Right now we’re just taking a break. We’re really good friends, we’re really close. I love him, he’s such an amazing man. He’s my best friend. He’s been so great to me … I’m still in love with him.”

So why did they break up? Paris says that it was a mutual decision and they are better off as friends. They’re both working so much and traveling for different venues.

As for Benji being controlling and jealous, Paris says that’s a lie. She says that Benji is not a jealous person and she’s never been treated so well in her life.

Rumor has it that Paris Hilton and Benji Madden split up Tuesday after nine months of dating. Usmagazine.com reports that a rep for Paris has confirmed this news.

“Even though they are still in love, they felt it would be better to just be friends,” says the source. And the reason they split was because Benji was overprotective and controlling. “He doesn’t get along with any of her friends. Friends thought Paris had changed since being with Benji and she wants to be herself again.”

The rumored split has nothing to do with Paris’ recent trip to Miami where she was spotted with Stavros Niarchos. Supposedly the couple has been faithful to each other.

Paris Hilton says that she’s actually been dating Benji Madden since February. Interesting, considering Benji was dating Sophie Monk then!

Sophie’s representative revealed on February 12 that she and Madden had decided to put an end to their 13-month engagement.

“We’ve been friends for seven years and he said he always had a big crush on me, and when I finally became single it was great that we got together – it was the best,” the Courier mail quoted her as saying.

So was Paris the cause for the split? All she says is that, “Benji and I are really in love and happy – and that’s all I want to say.”
