Paris Hilton may reprise her role as Amber Sweet in a sequel to Repo! The Genetic Opera!

Co-star Alexa Vega admits that although the film’s producers were disappointed that the picture was only given a limited release in the U.S., they still hope to bring back the cast for a sequel.

Alexa tells Moviehole.net, “From the very, very beginning, we always talked about a prequel or a sequel to this movie. And it’s hard, because as of right now, we all want to do it, but, you know, it didn’t really do as we hoped. ”

She says that they didn’t have much support but they are hoping fans will come back, sparking a prequel or sequel to the film.

Paris Hilton gives a huge grin for the paparazzi as she heads to the screening for “Repo! The Genetic Opera“, at West LA’s Laemmle Theatre last night.

Clad in all leather, Paris seemed thrilled to be heading to the event, even though she was nominated for several Razzie awards!! Paris has been nominated as the Worst Supporting Actress for her role in the film, as well as Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple in “The Hottie and the Nottie” at this year’s anti-Oscar awards, The Golden Rasperries.

This video is an introduction scene that airs at the beginning of Repo! The Genetic Opera. It gives an overview of the movie, in comic book format. Have you watched Paris Hilton in Repo! yet?

The Repo! The Genetic Opera DVD will be out on DVD (and Blu-ray Disc) on January 20, 2009.

The DVD will not include any deleted scenes, but they will have commentaries, behind-the scenes-footage (some from the official website), and Come Up and Try My New Parts (by Paris Hilton). There will also be another song by Paris, and plus an unseen opera scene! The bluray will also have a Sing Along feature!

Robin Leech interviews Paris Hilton on the red carpet for the premiere of Repo! The Genetic Opera in Las Vegas. Paris talks about horror movies and not really being scared of them as a kid - except for Freddy Krueger. But she never woke up screaming from a nightmare!

Paris then chats about the film and her love of Vegas. “It’s like an adult Disneyland!” she says.

The Repo! The Genetic Opera premiere has been a good success! The movie grossed $26,000 on Friday when it opened in only eight theaters. Wonder if Lionsgate will do a bigger launch now?

Paris seems to think that everyone will love the music of the film. “I remember we would do a scene where I had to sing and I would go back to my trailer still singing. Even now I can’t get those songs out of my head and I don’t think people who see the movie in theaters will either. It’s weird.”

Paris Hilton chatted about Repo! The Genetic Opera with Amazon.

Paris says that she was in interested in the project because of director Darren Bousman. “I am a big fan of the Saw movies and also the fact that I heard it was a musical for horror film made it like nothing I have ever read in my life.”

This role is quite different for Paris. She says she’s really grateful for the opportunity. “Amber Sweet is different from me in every way both physically and emotionally. It was such a fun role to play. People are going to see a side of me they have never seen before.”
